It’s the season for winter storms and the coverage of them.
I love a good winter storm as long as I don’t have to go out in it. But I used to cover them and be the one standing along the road saying don’t come out if you don’t have to…
Now, I just take pictures of TV reporters standing outdoors, in cars, along the road in their hats. Some are made for TV (hats and reporters) and others are for safety.
I’ve done this before, so enjoy the trip down memory lane. If you have a pic, tag me on Twitter or send me the image to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you to those who submitted in this first round. We have entries from Waterloo, Cedar Rapids, Quad Cities, Des Moines, Fargo, Rochester, Mason City and Chicago.
There are two entries of one reporter, but he has goggles and later a graphic on the screen next to him. That’s next level.
Thanks to Olivia Schmitt, Taylor Vessel, Ashley Neighbor at KWWL, Mike O’Brien and Taylor Holt at KCRG, Nick Stewart & Nick Weig at KGAN, Matt Henson at WDAZ, Morgan Strackbein at WQAD, Alliyah Sims of WHBF, Jacylyn Harold at KAAL, Bailey Hurley in Fargo at KVLY, Dana Rebik of WGN, Laura Barczewski and Megan Reuther (yes, a classic image, but a great one) of WHO, Tommie Clark and Lauren Donovan and Courtney Kintzer of KCCI.
