IPTV Programming June 4, 2010

School is out for many Iowa students, but that doesn’t mean original programming goes on vacation, too.

Lots of original work being done here at IPTV in Johnston.

Here’s a look at what is on tap for your weekend viewing.

At 7:30 tonight, Iowa Press features Michael Kiernan, chairman of the Iowa Democratic Party, and Matt Strawn, chairman of the Republican Party of Iowa. They will discuss the upcoming primary elections and the overall campaign season of 2010. The program can also be seen Saturday at 8:30 a.m. on IPTV WORLD, Sunday at 11:30 a.m. on IPTV, and online at http://www.iptv.org/iowapress.

Tonight at 8 on Market to Market, U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack outlines the Obama Administration’s plans to rejuvenate the rural economy, and a pioneer in alternative fuel production explains why regulatory barriers threaten the future of ethanol. On Sunday, IPTV remembers the anniversary of D-Day with two documentaries. D-Day: The Price of Freedom airs at 5 p.m. and pays tribute to the courageous men who began the liberation of France. Then, beginning at 6 p.m., D-Day explores the Allied invasion, and the events leading up to it

.On Monday at 9 p.m., tune in for highlights from the 2009 Saturday in the Park music festival, which was held at Grandview Park in Sioux City, Iowa.

NOVA: The Bible’s Buried Secrets explores archeological artifacts left behind by the Israelites on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Ohio’s annual Ferret Buckeye Bash is the largest and most popular ferret show in the country. Meet top breeders, seasoned expert and ferret enthusiasts on Wednesday at 7 p.m. during Ferrets: The Pursuit of Excellence.
