Food, Inc. and Green Themes on Iowa Journal this week

We have a double-header for you this week involving the Iowa Journal.

Wednesday night IPTV airs the PBS series POV. Wednesday’s program will feature the movie Food, Inc. Then an Iowa Journal discussion will follow.

Mark Pearson hosts this discussion. There were also features done by IPTV producers that look at certain points of the movie. Those will be used to help our discussion along during the nearly 50 minute roundtable. Those features will likely post here on our Iowa Journal website sometime Thursday or Friday.

Craig Lang, president of the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation and Neil Hamilton, director of the Agricultural Law Center at Drake University are on the panel. This discussion was a good one to allow some rebuttal and credits to the film.

What are your thoughts about our discussion? About Food, Inc? Share them here or email us We’ve heard from many of you already, so please keep your comments coming.

The Food, Inc movie airs Wednesday at 8 PM on IPTV. The discussion will take place around 940p on Wednesday. This will be available on .1 and our .3 service Friday night at 6p. The discussion will also be made available on our website here.

But that’s not all folks….

Also in production this week is a look at all things green that we’ve done on the Iowa Journal.

The green topic is a popular one this week in several media outlets. We’ve looked at several environmental issues on The Iowa Journal.

Our show will feature many looks around the state at green living, lifestyles and habits. TIJ airs at the regular 8 PM timeslot Thursday and 630 PM on Friday.
