The Iowa Journal looks at Iowa Wine

Thursday’s Iowa Journal about the Iowa Wine industry is now posted online.

You can view the feature set up piece that includes Tabor Home, Brush Creek, Fireside and Tassel Ridge.

Here’s where you can view that 5 minute piece.

The entire show featured Mike White of the Midwest Grape and Wine Industry Institute, Barb Rasko of the Make Mine Wine magazine and Ron Mark, owner of Summerset Winery in Indianola.

Here’s the link from the entire show.

We do have one addition to our program thanks to Rich Collins at http://www.IowaWines.org. He’s let us know you can indeed by some Iowa Wines online.

He says there are currently 36 which permit direct shipment of wine to consumers. the IowaWines.org website does have an on-line sales program.

No new show next week, but a look at Natural Heritage on Christmas Day and Kathryn Koob on New Year’s Day.

  1. Hi Paul

Yes, you can buy Iowa Wines on line, if you live in Iowa. Most Iowa wineries will ship their wine to Iowa customers and some have permits to ship to a few other states. Also, http://www.buyiowawines.com ships some of the most popular Iowa wines to customers.

By the way, I am building a list of Iowa restaurants that serve Iowa wines and that list will be on the magazine’s Website by the middle of January.

Thanks again for inviting me to be on the panel for your show. It is important to continue to provide information to Iowans about the growing Iowa wine industry.

    Thank you,

    Barbara Rasko
